ColorOS gallery app is quite better in quality than its AOSP counterparts. The only issue with the ColorOS gallery app is that it doesn’t support Google Photos or any other Google services. We will be using the Paranoid Android ROM and the AOSP Gallery app port to successfully install the ColorOS gallery app on our device. Please make sure that your device has an AOSP ROM installed and is rooted with TWRP as well as the Magisk Framework. If you don’t have the AOSP gallery app installed on your device, then don’t worry! We will first be installing the AOSP gallery app to our device and then installing the ColorOS gallery app to the AOSP gallery app. This will allow us to switch between both apps with ease. Requirements

- Device with AOSP ROM - If you have the ColorOS gallery app installed on your device, then chances are that you have a ColorOS ROM installed as well. In that case, this guide isn’t for you. - AOSP gallery app - This app is available on the Google Play Store and will replace your existing gallery app. - AOSP gallery app port - This is the modified version of the AOSP gallery app that will work with the ColorOS gallery app. - TWRP - This is the custom recovery that we will be using to install the AOSP gallery app port to our device. - Magisk - This is the framework that will make sure that the ColorOS gallery app port works without any issues on our device.

How to install and use AOSP gallery app with ColorOS

First and foremost, you will have to make sure that your device is rooted and has the AOSP gallery app installed. If you have done that, then you can go ahead and install the ColorOS gallery app port. The first step to this is to install the Magisk Framework on your device. This is to ensure that the ColorOS gallery app port doesn’t get detected and removed by the system.
